When Hurricanes Laura and Delta struck Louisiana in 2020, McNeese State University in Lake Charles sustained more than $125 million in damages, placing the education of 7,300 students at risk. The university and state agencies prioritized reconstruction so the campus could reopen for the 2021 school year.
Immediately upon verbal award—one day before the official notice to proceed—the Dynamic team mobilized using pre-established deployment plans. Within 72 hours, we staffed the site with project managers, superintendents, six subcontractor teams, and skilled tradespeople. At peak, more than 150 personnel worked simultaneously to execute repairs.
Dynamic led the restoration of one of the university’s primary quadrants, repairing six major buildings totaling 350,000 square feet. Funded through FEMA Public Assistance, the $21.5 million reconstruction program included:
