In a heartwarming ceremony led by Hawai‘i Governor Josh Green, Dynamic Group proudly welcomed the first family to their new home on the Lahaina, HI, jobsite. While construction continues with hammers swinging and roofs going up, the project has already reached a remarkable milestone — families are beginning to move into their new homes.
In less than five weeks since arriving on the island, Dynamic has successfully turned over one-, two-, and three-bedroom units to FEMA, part of the federal effort to provide safe, temporary housing for those affected by the devastating Maui wildfires.
The journey to this point has not been without its challenges. Yet, the team’s determination and resilience made this milestone possible, marking a significant achievement for both Dynamic and the Lahaina community.
As of now, 108 of the 109 units have arrived on the island, with the final unit expected within the next week, keeping the project on schedule. Marex Services has played a vital role in transporting units to Maui, while on-island operations are expertly managed by SSHO Kia‘i Barretto and QC Michael Barretto.
Next steps include installation of ADA-compliant ramps and stairs, along with the work of the furniture crew, who are preparing each home for occupancy. Every home undergoes a comprehensive third-party inspection to ensure it meets Maui’s building codes and safety standards.
Despite logistical hurdles, Dynamic remains on track to complete all 109 homes by early January 2025. This milestone underscores the dedication, teamwork, and commitment of everyone involved—and brings a renewed sense of hope and stability to families in Lahaina as they begin rebuilding their lives.
