Strengthening Louisiana’s Coastline

Dynamic is playing a critical role in restoring and protecting Louisiana’s vulnerable coast through the Port Fourchon Coastal Restoration Project. The effort involves transporting and placing 500,000 tons of sand to rebuild eroded beaches and strengthen natural storm barriers.

This large-scale restoration improves coastal resilience, safeguards vital port infrastructure, and supports the ecological health of the surrounding wetlands.

Dynamic’s Scope of Work

Dynamic manages the end-to-end logistics and placement of the restoration material:

  • Sand Transportation and Staging Yard Operations – We move 500,000 tons of sand from the Bonnet Carré Spillway 87 miles to Port Fourchon and stockpile sand at a port-provided staging yard for controlled distribution
  • Barge Loading & Transportation – Dynamic loads barges via conveyor belt, then has tug boats push them across the bayou to offload sites
  • Material Offloading – At the offload sites, excavators unload barges into off-road trucks and dump wagons
  • Beach Placement – After hauling sand ½ mile to the shoreline, bulldozers shape and place the sand into an engineered template
